Attention:
Harbor Drive is closed at 1018 Harbor due to a large tree across the road. There is no through traffic between Green Willow and Lakeview.
Residents will need to use a combination of Green Willow, Pinecrest and Lakeview depending on where you live on Harbor.
The AA County Fire Dept. responded because the tree was smoking. BGE arrived and removed the portion of the tree on the power lines. The remaining portion of the tree is resting on Verizon lines. Verizon et al has said they will not be removing the tree from their wires.
ARPOA cones have been placed on either side of the tree along with caution tape placed earlier by responders.
Thanks to John and Sarah and Val Grady for their assistance and reaching out to ARPOA. The ARPOA contractor has been contacted to remove the tree.
Reports indicate that there are a lot of trees down in the area due to the heavy rains and saturated soil combined with increasing winds.
Please avoid the area if possible.
