In this update:
- Power Outage Ogleton Road- Tree Limb on Wires
This morning a tree limb came down on power wires between 2703 and 2707 Ogleton Road causing a transformer to blow and catch on fire. The fire department was called by numerous residents and BGE has been notified of the outage. This outage may take a while to be resolved as the tree limb remains on the wires and must be removed before BGE can restore power. Residents, including rainy day walkers, should use caution in the area due to possible live wires and emergency crews removing the limb and repairing the outage. Ogleton Road may be closed by emergency personnel so be prepared to take Carrollton Road as an alternate route.
