Santa Visited the Carolers on the Overlook Sunday the 18th
Santa arrived at the Overlook via SUV to visit with the kiddies – young and old as well as a pup or two! While Santa got the requests and was checking them twice, the carolers sang in the warmth of the firepit fire.
All enjoyed wassail and hot chocolate… and it would be not be Christmas without a bit of “hard” wassail and eggnog enhanced with a few drams of rum.
Thanks to Charlie, Rowan and crew for the warm fire and firewood; Suzy for the hot chocolate; Carol the wassail; Phil Weiser for Santa’s SUV “sleigh”; Cecilia, Jackie, Carol, Suzy, Ed and Linda for setup/tear down.
A special thanks to Ed Cooper who dug out the prior years’ jingle bells, song books, boombox with music CD (in order of the songs in the song books), light strings, personal reading lights, and generator.
And last, but not least – thanks to anyone who lent a hand, the Social Committee members and co-chairs Carol and Suzy who put this event together.
.
BUT most especially, thank you to those of you who braved the cold wind to come sing and who brought their kids (and pups) to see Santa.
ADULTS’ EYES ONLY: A HUGE THANK YOU to Jay Donnelly for being our very own, Annapolis Roads’
“Santa”!
We hope you enjoy some pics from the caroling and Santa visit – below. Photos from Cecilia Dalnekoff, Linda Dodge, & Allyson Kiley.
